Ieri dovevano svolgersi le finali italiane per la Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) ma si erano riscontrati problemi di sicurezza. Viste le carenze organizzative CPL ha accettato il rinvio ad oggi ma il problema si è ripresentato. Adesso c’è stata la comunicazione ufficiale secondo la quale le finali italiane verranno ufficialmente cancellate e l’Italia non farà parte dellle prestigiose 2006 Championship Finals che si terranno a Dallas tra il 16 e il 20 Dicembre!
Che dire… Italian style…

Aggiornamento (24/11/2006):
Dopo pochi giorni il problema è stato fortunatamente risolto. Non si sa ancora quando ma CPL assicura che le finali avranno luogo. Per fortuna si è risolto tutto per il meglio, sarebbe stato un peccato visto che le finali italiane per questo torneo erano tra le più attese dalla Community…

The CPL was just notified that its local partner A.S. Play.it is having last minute difficulties in securing tournament systems for the CPL Italy Finals.

A.S. Play.it is requesting that if anyone in the gaming community can help them secure tournament computers to please contact them right away at info@teamplay.it.

The CPL is also attempting to assist its strategic partner with this unfortunate situation.

UPDATE I:
A.S. Play.it has just informed the CPL that if a solution is not found by tomorrow morning, they will cancel the CPL Italy National Finals. The CPL has proposed several possible solutions, but A.S. Play.it have indicated that none of the proposals are feasible for them.

UPDATE II:
A.S. Play.it has just informed the CPL that they have obtained tournament systems! They warn that the schedule will be tight and they may have to run single elimination matches, but the CPL Italy National Finals will not be canceled.
